Body Metrics in Healthcare & Fitness, iPhone app


Measuring and tracking body metrics in healthcare and fitness is a popular and growing application so I wanted to kickstart this topic by this app update from Matrix information systems inc. (this is not a product test and review)
Body Metric’s is designed with the Health Care Professional in mind, utilizing standardized CDC datum, known calculations, and reasonable assumptions. This application is not designed for the lay person, but rather assumes a certain base knowledge in how to properly interpret the values.

Features include:
• Percentiles based on CDC datum for infant and youth.
• Gender specific.
• Displays colour coded spinners for percentiles.
• Calculates age in months from birthdate.
• Exact value entry permitted.
• Spinners for fast selection.
• Double tap age and spinners center on 50 percentile.
• Switches datum automatically based on age.
• Detailed synopsis of patient by rotating device to the side.
• Supports both metric and imperial units.
• Support for data entry using both metric and imperial units.
• Complete CDC tables for infant and youth.
• Includes a Help section detailing usage and all formula’s.
• Ideal weights (Robinson & Devine) for adults.
• Lean body weight for adults.
